What I do

Provide mental health support and interventions to people ages 8-18 in Ohio and Michigan. I also supervise newly licensed social workers.

Anger/defiance, ODD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, communication skills, social/relational issues, trauma, and autism

Where I Meet

I meet with Ohio clients virtually through Grow Therapy. For Michigan, I meet virtually and in person in West Bloomfield, MI.

My Therapy Style

I use humor, creativity, and play to engage clients and create an enjoyable atmosphere in which they will feel comfortable and expressive. I am also trained in EMDR therapy and am pursuing certification in this therapy mode.

About "Miss Elaine" Hendershot

I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2014 with a Bachelor's in Social Work. I served as a conservatorship caseworker for the State of Texas before moving to Ohio. There, I worked as an in-home therapist in Cleveland from 2017-2022. During this time, I obtained my Master's in Social Work from the University of Akron. I received my LISW/LMSW in 2022, and moved to Michigan shortly thereafter, where I continue to explore potential for growth in both me and my clients.

What are your private pay costs?

$90 per hour, with a sliding scale

Where is your physical location?

My office space is at 5777 West Maple, Suite 177, West Bloomfield, MI 48322.

Do you accept Medicaid?

Yes! I accept Meridian, Michigan Medicaid, and Blue Cross Complete. Please email me so we can set that up for you!

What is your availability?

I work Monday - Thursday 12p-8p, and Friday 10-5p. I am also considering Saturdays, depending on overall interest.
